If you’re looking to develop your knowledge of sustainability but wondering where to start then this blog is for you! We have put together a variety of different Netflix films and series, with a brief overview of what you can expect to see in each one.


David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet

A Life On Our Planet gives us an insight into how our planet has changed over the last 93 years – the course of David Attenborough’s existence. During these years, Attenborough has visited every continent on the globe and has witnessed some devastating things. 

We find out; why there have been five mass extinctions, what impact humans have on nature and what we need to do differently in order to protect our planet.


Seaspiracy

Seaspiracy is a new, controversial, Netflix documentary that was released in March. It educates us on the environmental impact of fishing and, why it is vital to protect our oceans and marine life.

Seaspiracy was directed by Ali Tabrizi, a film-maker from Kent and was made by the team behind the 2014, award-winning film, Cowspiracy. 


Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates

This short series explores the mind and motivations of Bill Gates. We get an insight into his childhood and some of the people closest to him. It raises awareness to the health, sanitation and climate issues around the World. The series consists of just three episodes.

 

Down to Earth

In the series Down to Earth, we follow actor, Zac Efron around the World. He sets off looking for sustainable and healthier ways of living. 

The journey starts off in Iceland where Efron gets a close-up look at their amazing renewable energy effort and ends in Iquitos, where he visits the Amazon rainforest!
