The summer holidays are quickly approaching and we’re all desperate for a getaway with our friends and family. Although things are still very uncertain when it comes down to when and where we are allowed to travel, one thing is certain, people are going to try to travel a lot more eco-friendly. 

The pandemic has made a lot of people more aware of our environmental crisis. According to the BBC, recent reports and studies show that coronavirus has focused our minds on helping to create a better, healthier world. We have put together a list of our favourite eco spots for your getaway!

Elmley Nature Reserve, Isle Of Sheppey Kent

Elmley is a “family-run farm with a long-term vision to restore nature and a commitment to the sustainability of the landscape and land.” If you choose to stay at Elmley you will be amazed by the 3,300 acres of wonderful wilderness. The owners have created a collection of beautiful and unique places for you to choose from in Elmley.

Fun fact: Elmley Nature Reserve is the only National Nature Reserve that you can spend the night within, in England!

Forest Holidays, Deerpark

Home to rare plant species and roe deer, Deerpark offers 45 different cabins sat beside an ancient millpond, within a wooden valley. 

Make sure you remember your workout clothes because there are plenty of activities to do during your stay, including cycling, mountain biking, watersports and walks on Bodmin Moor. At the end of a very tiring yet joyful day, you can be sure to relax in the hot tubs that come provided with each standard cabin.

The Cwms, Narberth, Pembrokeshire

The Cwms is a Victorian cottage surrounded by woodland gardens. The cottage has a log burning stove which is perfect after an enjoyable day spent at Amroth beach - which is within walking distance!
